Educational services for Hindu migrants from Pakistan

Date: 26 Jun, 2022

As part of the Manav Mandir Refugee Service Program, Manav Mandir organized an event in the Manav Mandir premises. Girls from grades 9th to 12th from the Majnu Ka Tila camp were brought to Manav Mandir by the Manav Mandir bus. Although 40 students were supposed to attend, the trauma of the atrocities they faced in Pakistan still haunts parents so deeply that they refuse to let their daughters leave their homes. Only 20 girls were able to attend. Winning over some will take more time. The girls were provided with complete sets of books, according to their class. The books were distributed by the Rasmi Smile Trust and the Register Sunday Friend NGO. The girls captivated everyone with their dance to patriotic songs. One girl, Anjali, showcased her art by presenting a sample of Singhi embroidery. The program began with the auspicious blessings of Pujya Gurudev. Mr. Bhavin and Sezal Kapasi, Mr. Ramesh and Aruna Surana blessed the girls and presented them with books. Mr. Ramesh Surana gave each girl a prize of 100 rupees and the dancing girls a prize of 200 rupees. Revered Gurudev said that Manav Mandir is providing these facilities with the kind assistance from the society and the girls will have to work very hard in their studies.
